The simple definition of NinTai is to persevere; however, the Japanese characters have a much greater meaning than this simple translation.
NinTai is an adherence to a course of action, belief, or purpose without giving way. Perseverance, persistence, tenacity, steadfastness and patience all define NinTai. Each of these conveys a sense of endurance in the pursuit of a desired end.
Perseverance suggests continuing strength or patience in dealing with something arduous. It particularly implies withstanding difficulty or resistance.
Persistence, usually but not always unfavorable, implies dogged resolve in dealing with others and hence often a willful insistence by holding firmly to a purpose or undertaking despite obstacles, warning or setbacks.
Tenacity means tough, aggressive persistence, and accents will power. Whereas perseverance and persistence largely apply to striving for a goal, tenacity basically denotes holding on to something.
Steadfastness is moral in connotation and implies unswerving adherence to principles, usually in the face of opposition.
Patience is the habit of enduring without complaint, becoming over anxious or looking for quick results. It is uncomplaining steadiness in accomplishing a task.

"what a river!" I said to my companion, thinking of all the way we had travelled from the source in the Black Forest"

The eeriness of this lonely island, set among a million willows, swept by a hurricane, and surrounded by hurrying deep waters, touched us both, I fancy. Untrodden by man, almost unknown to man, it lay there beneath the moon, remote from human influence, on the frontier of another world...

: That's right. I'm just a fella now. I ain't no different than anyone else no more.

Dave Boyle: Maybe some day you forget what it's like to be human and maybe then, it's ok.

This grim theology is as close as anyone comes to faith, but Mr. Eastwood’s understanding of the universe, and of human nature, is if anything even more pessimistic. The evil of murderers and child molesters represents a fundamental imbalance in the order of things that neither the forces of law and order nor the impulse toward vengeance can rectify... The actions of his abusers spring from some bestial, uncivilized impulse that cries out to be exterminated. The problem—the tragedy—is that grief, loyalty and even love spring from the same source.”

I want to go slowly

But when you think I've had enough

From your sea of love
I'll take more than another riverfull
And I'll make it all worthwhile

If turtle has shown up in your life, it is time to get connected to your most primal essence. Go within your shell and come out when your ideas are ready to be expressed. It is time to recognize that there is an abundance out there for you. It doesn't have to be gotten quickly and immediately. Take your time and let the natural flow work for you. Too much, too soon, can upset the balance. turtle reminds us that all we need for all that we do is available to us, if we approach it in the right manner and time.

Turtles remind us that the way to heaven is through the earth. In Mother Earth is all that we need. She will care for us, protect us, and nurture us, as long as we do the same for her. For that to happen, we must slow down and heighten our sensibilities. We must see the connection to all things. Just as the turtle cannot separate itself from its shell, neither can we separate ourselves from what we do to the Earth.

Here is no water but only rock

Rock and no water and the sandy road
the road winding above among the mountains
which are mountains of rock without water

Sweat is dry and feet are in the sand
if there were only water amongst the rock...

...if there were water
and no rock
if there were rock
and also water
and water
a spring
a pool among the rock
if there were the sound of water only

toda a minha vida

We're gonna twisty twisty twisty
'Til we turn the house down
You should see my my little Sis
She really knows how to rock
She knows how to twist
Come on and twist yeah baby twist
Oooh-yeah just like this
Come on little miss and do the twist
Yeah rock on now
Yeah twist on now.

Dial up my number now
Weaving it through the wire

Switch me on
Turn me up
Don't want it Baudelaire
Just glitter lust
Switch me on
Turn me up
I want to touch you
You're just made for love

Coils up and round me
Teasing your poetry
Switch me on
Turn me up
Oh child of Venus
You're just made for love

I wanna waste some time
You wanna be so mean

A broken heel like a heart

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
